Marketing Tip: GoHuman Video Intro

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

A Video is Worth a Thousand Pictures. Did you know you could embed a Video Intro of yourself right on your GoHuman postings? It’s easy!

After logging in to your account tab, click on “My Video Intro – link to yours now” and paste in the embed code from YouTube, Vimeo, or any video site that supports this simple feature. Once you’ve pasted your code, click the “Embed My Video Intro” button and you’re done!

Your video will automatically appear on each of your postings under the “Video Intro” button, and it’s a great way for customers to “meet” you, which makes them more likely to hire you!

How Do You Build Credibility?

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

We all have different means and methods for building credibility, but one thing on which most people can agree is that reputation drives a customer’s decision to buy a product or service more than anything else.

Trust is at the root of choice. People want to feel like they’re selecting the best quality at the best price. If you’ve used a product or service for a long time, you have first-hand experience with it and can determine your own level of trust based on that experience.

But life is full of change, and as you move from place to place or start needing new things to support your life, you’ll need to know who to trust. Usually you won’t have years of testing products and providers to figure this out at the time you need to make the decision.

So who do you trust?

GoHuman’s unique reputation model doesn’t just limit you to a sea of 5-star ratings to read through guessing who might be the best fit. We’re expanding our proven model to include reviews from reputable sources as well as online feedback.

In addition to celebrating quality service providers, GoHuman rewards professionals who demonstrate a good attitude to make it right when things go wrong. We’re all human and we all make mistakes, but those who hold themselves accountable deserve to succeed. Attitude is an important part of trust, and it’s one neglected by most local directories out there.

Trust your next leap to GoHuman.com, and you’ll see the difference we’re making together.

Vital Belevich of Granada Hills, CA, just picked up a Flip HD Video Camera for posting his business on GoHuman.com! Vital cares deeply about the quality of service he provides his customers, which keeps them coming back:

“Customers are more tech-savvy than ever before. Fittingly, they expect their service requests to be similarly adept with the latest tools and processes and they like to give a feedback for services they receive so that other potential customers can get an idea what to expect when they do their online shopping for services or goods.

“Reading reviews and feedbacks about goods and services gets more and more popular these days. Many people like to know what others can say about you.

“With GoHuman our company receives personal space on the web with tools to advertise our business and our customers receive the information about our services and share it with their friends and family. Google Makes it Right

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Gmail users were left without email for an hour on Tuesday, which some might say doesn’t bode well for Google’s bid to sell enterprise-level cloud computing services. But instead of fumbling and obfuscating, Google simply let everyone know what happened.

It only gets harder to be this transparent and honest the bigger you get. At least that’s what most companies would have you believe. But Google proves that people respond better to companies who go the extra mile to make it right than those who don’t. This is a philosophy we embrace and nurture within GoHuman.com, so I applaud Google’s efforts to maintain their culture.
